Often times the players cards will stick together due to production imperfections, static electricity, or other means bonding them together. It is a best practice to fan the cards out before adding them to the card hopper so that they will be loose enough for the pick up arm to pull in to the machine.

The Mira's Entrust Sigma DS3 card printers also require periodic cleaning with a cleaning card and replacements for their yellow sticky rollers. An improperly maintained Mira may also incorrectly feed cards.
